A Historic Milestone for Cornhole in Europe: The First European Championship

Cornhole players and fans, get ready for a groundbreaking event this November!

From November 8th to 10th, 2024, the first-ever European Cornhole Championship will unfold in the breathtaking region of Tirol, Austria. This monumental championship will unite Europe’s top cornhole players for a weekend of high-level competition, camaraderie, and celebration.

Why This Event is Special

For the first time in history, Europe will host its very own cornhole championship, exclusively for players holding European citizenship. Nestled in one of Austria’s most scenic alpine regions, this tournament will offer not just fierce competition, but an unforgettable experience. See the venue location and start dreaming about your perfect weekend in the Alps, where both sport and nature converge.

Event Highlights

  • Day 1 (November 8): European Crew Championship *NEW* – Friday, 18:00
Kick off the weekend with a unique event, where teams of four will compete in a relaxed but competitive format. Anyone can play.

Teams will be randomized, bringing players from different countries together for a true European mix. There will be two players on each side from the same team, each throwing two bags per round. Players sign up for this event individually.

  • Day 2 (November 9):
    9.00: European Cup  –
(Teams are signed up by the local federation)
    10:00 European Blind Draw

Represent your country in the European Cup. Each country is limited to one national team where national teams (consisting of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 players) will compete and represent their countries. Whether your team consists of 4 or 6 players, the team captain is responsible for ensuring that every player competes in at least one match.

Following the European Cup, the European Blind Draw event will kick off. This event is only for players who don’t play in the European Cup!
This exciting segment pairs up players randomly to form impromptu teams, creating unpredictable matchups and some of the weekend’s most thrilling moments.Saturday afternoon is reserved for sit-and-go blind draws, which can be played by anyone and as much as wanted.

  • Day 3 (November 10):
    9.00: European Doubles, until ≈16h

The championship finale will be the European Doubles Event, where only players from the same country can team up, but there is no limitation on how many teams from one country can participate.

The competition will be intense as European teams battle it out for the honor of being crowned the first-ever European Cornhole Doubles Champions.
